I'll overwhelm 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
