Incredible $30 Cartography Software Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream
After a short availability earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned with an encore that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by a specialized software company throughout their history, the entire collection is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are three different bundles available here.
The Main Attraction
The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade mapping application that can be used to generate various types including epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.
An imaginative landscape chart created using the CC3+ software platform.
Package Levels
Basic Package
The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.
Intermediate Package
The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting through inclusion of a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection is so worth it, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly more advantageous for map-making newbies since it includes introductory guides to facilitate learning. The one caveat here though the purchase is available on any platform, the applications only function with Windows systems.
Philanthropic Aspect
As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, that's Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. Package customization options is toward the top of the page, though users may also choose their donation amount in the right-hand section. There's also an "Adjust Donation" drop-down immediately below, enabling adjustment of how much of your donation goes to Humble, Profantasy, and Save the Children.
